You can find a large catface on the most insignificant piece of reef. They
are very inquisitiveand will generally approach the diver on the bottom.
They move inshore from deep reefs duringJune and can be found right on the
backline points aswell as the 30-60 foot inshore reefs.

This beautiful fish so called because of the tail shape is not common in
natal. They prefer the coral reefs further north in mozambique. When diving
the islands in the pemba region in 99, we came across a lot of these rockcod.
They will approach you on the bottom.
